About the species
The Chalk-browed Mockingbird is a medium-sized songbird easily recognized by its bold white eyebrow stripe, or 'chalk brow,' contrasting with its grayish-brown plumage. Common across much of South America, including Patagonia, this species is known for its lively personality and remarkable vocal abilities. It frequently perches in open view, singing loudly and mimicking a variety of sounds from its surroundings.
